Claire has had a keen interest in helping people get back to doing the things that they love doing, managing patients journey through their recovery and ongoing support. She loves the whole body and mind aspect of Osteopathy which gives patients empowerment to take control of their wellness.
Claire likes to encourage the multidisciplinary aspect of the Oast Osteopathy as she feels that all therapies complement each other. Once patients are treated, it is about maintaining function and this is achieved through the Yoga and Pilates sessions, as well as educating patients in good healthy habits through life.
Claire enjoys treating a variety of patients and the uniqueness of every patient journey. she has a keen interest in women health as well as chronic conditions, helping patients manage their ongoing health and mobility.
‘I discovered Osteopathy when my parents visited an Osteopath, my mother suffered with sinusitis and following two operations she was still not as well as she had hoped to be. She went for regular Osteopathy which dramatically reduced her symptoms and managed to help her resume a normal functioning life. I was interested in how much scope Osteopathy had, and excited that it wasnt just about tight muscles and joints. I also love the fact that no two patients are the same, each person’s body has a different story to tell and requires a different treatment plan’
Claire trained as a Pilates instructor in 2010 as she realised the importance of exercises and functional movements in the rehabillitation and maintanance of good health. In 2014 she completed the Pilates equipment course and purchased a reformer cadillac, trapeze, arc parrel and split pedal chair ensuring she had a fully equiped studio. She is now working to include more exercises in her treatments and providing group training sesssions.
Claire graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2005. She worked in practices around Kent before forming The Oast Osteopathy in 2008.
